Are you passionate about women’s empowerment? Education and community development? We want to hear from you!
Since we launched our Women's Empowerment programme in 2009, we have held the belief that they key to empowerment is through education. ‘Mujeres Emprendedoras’ is an ongoing entrepreneurship programme that runs in three month cycles for women from low-income backgrounds. We have developed the programme to focus on empowering women to start or improve their own businesses whilst improving self esteem, and gaining computer skills. Throughout the programme, women acquire skills such as how to develop a business plan, track their own finances and create an excel document, as well as building self-confidence, developing a captivating business elevator pitch, and the importance of customer service skills.
The Women’s Programme Assistant works closely alongside the Programme Manager to administer and develop the Women’s Programme. It is the ideal internship for somebody with an interest in women’s empowerment looking to gain more experience in the nonprofit world.
