Are you looking for an exciting project where you can use your web development skills to make an impact? Up for a challenge? Would you enjoy working together with our multicultural team on empowering people around the world to protect children?
If you answered ‘yeah’ to any of the above then you may just be the person we are looking for to join our ChildSafe Movement.
What about these? Think you’d fit?
• You are excited about building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• You are experienced in working on WordPress Website development, Site Security, Theme setup and Design Customization
• You are knowledgeable about PHP framework, My SQL, JavaScript, jQuery & Full Stack
• You are willing to commit 40-60 hours of work over the coming months
• You’ll be working with and supporting the building capacity of our Phnom Penh based IT team
Friends consists of multiple dynamic teams that are delivering innovative services for children, youth, their families and their communities. Together with our partners, we are creating a system that will provide protection to those in need and support people to become productive citizens of their country. We are looking for someone to join our ChildSafe Movement team and build an online, user-facing learning hub (online portal) using WordPress. You will work closely with the ChildSafe program team, as well as Communications and IT. You will be responsible for the web development process end-to-end, including design, development, and deployment of visual enhancements, themes, features, and functionality. The learning hub will be an exciting learning portal that is easily updatable and facilitates modules for training of external partners whose teams are joining us in the protection of children such as hotels, tour agencies and corporates. The portal will also serve as internal training resources to Friends’ teams offering modules on how to actively protect children. This is a great opportunity for an experienced web developer willing to contribute their skills, time and energy to the mission of protecting children all around the world. You can complete this work whilst being based remotely.
