POSITION

A Project Coordinator manages the implementation and coordination of a Collective Aid field project, including the day to day operations. JOB PURPOSE

Collective Aid has several field projects and for each one of them we need a Project Coordinator to make sure our day to day operations are running smoothly and our objectives and goals are being reached. Currently we are recruiting a Project Coordinator for our WASH (WAter Sanitation and Hygiene) centre in Belgrade, Serbia. Our centre will provide showers and laundry services for people sleeping rough in the city. This is a vital service, as people sleeping rough in the city have no access to hygienic care or facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Supervision and management of the day to day operations of the centre.
  • Development and preparation of briefings/training for the team working in the field.
  • Coordinating with the Programmes Manager to ensure the project has the necessary resources to run smoothly.
  • Ensure that the overall strategy and goals for the project are being achieved.
  • Lead weekly WASH project team meetings, and submit monthly project reports.
  • Supervise health and safety procedures for the centre.
  • Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to support the volunteers’ wellbeing and ensure the team has the right skills for the project.
  • Coordinating with other organisations and actors working in the region for the provision of referrals, services and signposting of vulnerable cases.
  • Coordinating the reporting for the Border Violence Monitoring Network in the field.
  • Supervision of the writing of social media inputs from the project, including weekly posts and monthly newsletters.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent management skills: ability to manage a large and ever-changing team of volunteers and coordinate with other organizations in the city.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong spoken and written English
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Able to work well as a team and independently
  • Have a good understanding of working with vulnerable populations
  • Experience with field work, especially WASH or hygiene related projects
  • Drivers License

CONDITIONS

-Contract: minimum 6 months

-Stipend: 300€/month

-Accommodation: accommodation provided in a shared room (with another coordinator) in volunteer house.

-Others: one meal a day provided.
