The Opportunity

The Waliku team is seeking an implementation manager to support the scale up of our support across multiple projects and countries, utilizing and improving upon our implementation support tools and practices.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare for implementation rollout in selected countries

Liaise with country teams and Waliku Team to learn more about the contexts Assist with defining the exploratory/formative phase of our implementation in the countries we are working, with relevant country documents and briefers As needed, conduct desk research on the learner education and wellbeing management system across countries, sharing insights With other Waliku Team and country colleagues, contribute to the development of the digital approach in a country based on the preparatory work.

Oversight of Planning, and Management of Implementation with Country Teams

Seek the log-frames, MEAL plans, and implementation plans (DIPs) and other relevant program documents of client projects in order to develop a digital MEAL plan/ task planner for Waliku support and milestones. Conduct weekly review meetings with country counterparts to ensure progress on implementation milestones. Support with any tactical advice, templates and examples from Waliku’s implementation toolkit to assist with any activities and bottlenecks experienced. Coordinate closely with the country and project coordinator and MEAL focal points to ensure appropriate M&E approaches are in place, with specific attention to the requirements for projects, local governments and communities. This should lead to iterative adaption of tools to support successful digitalization. Coordinate with country teams so they implement digital systems in ways that are responsive to key stakeholders, both communities (schools, children, families, government) and others (Save the Children, donors) as a way to ensure local ownership and sustainability. Advise as needed on any logistics including procurement, and provision of goods and materials to schools/ communities area. Work in tandem with the Waliku Team for inputs on engineering, data analytics, communications, finance and strategic guidance in the management of country projects.

User-centered design and service design support

Work with Waliku Team colleagues to ensure that the country team are adapting digital tools based on user needs, pain points, motivations/ behaviours, and existing workflows. Communicate any changes needed in the digital-tool use to Waliku Team members and country counterparts so that these can be incorporated in to the workflows, metrics for tracking performance, and user-stories for future engineering. Support country teams with relevant tools in order to map services provision, by whom and when, as part of understanding the ecosystem. Support the country teams with journey mapping the use of various education/ wellbeing services for students, identifying digital touchpoints and developing service blueprints for the frontline and behind the scenes services in the process.

Contribute to the development of Implementation Tools and Processes, inform Waliku’s Training processes, Learning Agenda, and Communications

Support the development, design and/or improvement of new implementation tools based on feedback from teams Support as needed with content for a self-paced training platform, preparing materials, testing their quality, and suggesting any improvements. Support with the input and review of materials for Waliku’s learning agenda as needed. Coordinate with team members to update social media sites and information briefers on Waliku on a routine basis.
