NIB’s Communications unit is seeking a TRAINEE to join its international team in Helsinki for the period December 2022 - February 2023. It is also possible to start the employment earlier either as part-time or full-time.

Your responsibilities would be to participate in a variety of communications tasks. These include assisting the communications unit in producing content for NIB’s media and public relations, as well as for internal purposes. You would also assist the team in event organising, and contribute to NIB’s media monitoring, publishing routines and administrative tasks.

The successful candidate should:
• be a student majoring in communication, journalism or another relevant field;
• be fluent in English and have excellent writing skills; a fluent command of one or several languages of the Nordic and Baltic countries is considered a strong asset;
• be open-minded, flexible, have good interpersonal and organisational skills as well as a genuine interest in learning;
• be able to work independently;
• have some work experience in communication or journalism, and a knowledge of editorial processes would be an asset.

Candidates with a knowledge of Nordic and Baltic languages are particularly encouraged to apply for this position.
