DRC Poland is looking to recruit a qualified, flexible, and enthusiastic professional for the position of Supply Chain Assistant to be based in Krakow.

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to promote and protect durable solutions to conflict and displacement-affected populations based on humanitarian principles and human rights. DRC is implementing a multi-sector response to support Ukraine refugees, IDPs, and host populations both within Ukraine and the neighboring countries of Poland, Romania and Moldova, and wider Europe. Due to the ongoing conflict that began in February 2022, DRC opened offices in Poland, Moldova, and Romania to provide support to the displaced population in partnership with civil society organizations and national NGOs, duty bearers, and other actors. DRC continues to implement in these three countries through partnerships, technical assistance and capacity exchange, and direct implementation in some cases.

About the Job

Reporting to the Supply Chain Team Leader based in Krakow and, under the technical supervision of the Supply Chain Specialist in the Country Office in Warsaw, the Supply Chain Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and/or technical logistics support.

Administration:

Checking that all assets old and new are properly recorded and tagged. Performing physical asset checks. Maintaining good communications with warehouse staff in other DRC locations and partner organizations. Correctly applying ERP supply chain processes. Coordination of program staff to ensure logistics involved in the whole program cycle.

Procurement:

Supporting with establishing and following up DRC and partners’ procurement plans. Supporting the procurement of all goods and services for DRC and partners. Tracking all orders, purchases, and deliveries. Ensuring that all orders are tracked from point of planning and request through to final receipt. Participating in the joint verification of procured goods and equipment and to ascertain the items' conformity to Technical Specifications and Quantities. Overseeing deliveries to and dispatches from DRC warehouses and effecting the necessary documentation.

Fleet Management and Travel:

Assisting with Fleet Management tasks as needed. Responsible for the organization of travel to/from Krakow and to/from field locations, such as hotel booking, booking of train, flight, etc. directly or through a travel agent, updating of movement tracker, etc. Updating daily vehicle movement schedules and records and assigning of all mechanical transport as required. Compiling of regular fuel consumption reports and monthly vehicle utilization analysis.

About You

To be successful in this role we expect you to have a minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a similar role. Moreover, we also expect the following:

A relevant University degree or qualification. Experience in administrative tasks, including filing systems. Excellent IT skills, including experience in operating an ERP supply chain system. Experience in supply chain management including transport, distribution, warehouse, and stock management. Experience with auto mechanics or electrical installations. Advanced English proficiency. Fluency in Polish.

We Offer

Contract type: National Contract

Contract length: 31st December 2023, with the possibility of extension depending on the availability of funding.

Band: Non- Management, I

Base Salary Range: PLN 7,505 - PLN 9,505 gross per month, based on experience.

Duty base: Krakow, with travel.

Start date: Asap
