The Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (AdSEARCH) project of icddr,b aims to improve sexual and reproductive health (SRH) outcomes and realise rights among different population groups with distinct SRH needs in Bangladesh. To be implemented by researchers from different divisions of icddr,b, this research project will explore, understand, and assess some key components of SRHR among different population groups who have the highest-burden, distinct needs and vulnerabilities. Under this umbrella project, we are conducting a study which intends to research on tele-mental health interventions for SRHR beneficiaries.
Position Description
The Study Physician will be reporting to the project PI (Principal Investigator) or the project focal person. S/he will also be responsible for implementing research activities to generate knowledge through effective data collection and analysis of research data following the research protocols, organizational values, and guidelines, e.g. Institutional Governance Framework - IGF and Gender Diversity Guidelines. The intended person requires medical background. S/he should also be experienced in research activities in maternal health.
Provide supportive supervision in the selected facilities; Regular monitoring of the field level staff and data collection; Regular liaison with the Government and other stakeholders working in the project; Working in coordination with other implementing partners; Address queries made by supervisors, investigators, and donors, and finalize clinical reports; Supervise and troubleshoot field problems, if required; Document project milestone achievements. Prepare and share weekly and monthly reports, work plans, and deliverables; Review the information of collected data and develop possible manuscript ideas under the guidance of Principal Investigator and Co-investigators; Perform statistical analysis based on supervisor's direction; Create content for the application considering contextual and age-specific perspectives; Create reports with findings and share them with the supervisor; Write sections of the manuscript under the supportive guidance of the supervisor; Besides providing feedback to support scientific manuscript writing, review and edit manuscripts; Guide team members on the completion of tasks, reports, and documents (e.g. research methods); Provide on-the-job training to the junior staff; Provide feedback on team members' performance to the supervisor to develop an efficient team.Required qualifications and experience:
MBBS degree from a Medical College recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council with completion of one-year internship training; Candidates having MPH will be given preference. At least 1 year experience in the relevant field.Duty Station: Mohakhali Campus, Dhaka.
Contract Type and duration:
Short-Term Contractual Service Agreement; duration will be 6 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.Salary & benefits:
87,180/- (consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.Notes of attention:
