Tetra Tech International Development (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Staff Associate for Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning.

The Staff Associate ME&L is a vital member of the Tetra Tech team and works across all the sectors towards the goal of providing highest quality ME&L services to support new business, project implementation and institutional learning. The ME&L Specialist is a team player, mentor and trainer, and a provider of technical assistance, guidance, and support of Tetra Tech’s five sectors as well as field offices. The Staff Associate will be assigned duties by the ME&L Director, or designee, in the areas of capacity building, business development, and providing billable technical assistance.

This position will be based in either our Burlington, VT or Arlington, VA office.

Responsibilities:

The Staff Associate is engaged in four major areas of Tetra Tech’s work:

* New Business Development: Supports development of the MEL aspects of proposals, assists with positioning and marketing and develops networks in the industry.

* Project Management: Supports projects, from start-up to close-out, as support and technical assistance to the project MEL unit.

* Technical Excellence: Contributes to providing excellent service and high-quality work in technical areas.

* Organizational and Professional Development: Takes responsibility and actively works for their own professional development as well as building a community of practice among ME&L specialists on Tetra Tech projects and building a culture of learning across all sectors.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

* Minimum one year of professional experience preferred.

* Minimum one year of relevant experience in a developing country is preferred.

* Knowledge of international donor projects and/or USAID-funded projects highly desired.

* Excellent verbal and writing skills required.

* Speaking and reading proficiency in at least one foreign language is preferred.

* Very strong cross-cultural relations and interpersonal communication skills required.

* High level proficiency in MS Office applications.

* Availability for 30–40% international travel.

* Ability to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
