Senior Technical Officer – Social and Behavior Communications (SBC)

The Senior Technical Officer, Social and Behavior Communications, oversees strategic planning, development and coordination of all marketing communications programs to promote EpiC project objectives. Consults with other areas of management and agencies to leverage marketing and produce promotional tools and communication vehicles for the project. Manages the preparation of training aids, controls advertising and public relations projects, and recommends the media best suited to promote specific programs or services. Interacts with vendors to produce promotional material. Defines marketing objectives and strategies, and translates strategies into communication tactics, including project management, planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree equivalent, marketing, public relations, communications or related field

  • Minimum of 8 years of marketing and public relations experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures with marketing and/or advertising strategies and communications.

  • Strong knowledge of various software and web applications

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Demonstrated organization and project management skills

  • Ability to influence, motivate, negotiate, and work well with others

  • Possess strong, analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Prior working experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) be an advantage, however not necessary.
