General Minimum Requirements
The general minimum requirements for working with the OSCE are:

Field of Expertise Requirements
The general minimum requirements for working in this field of expertise are:
Second-level university degree in the fields of international relations, security and/or defence studies; Experience working in politico-military affairs with international organizations; Knowledge of good practice and politico-military standards, particularly in the fields of CSBMs, arms control, SALW and SCA, and CIMIC; Demonstrated understanding of the comprehensive approach to security with a track record of promoting and facilitating the approach in practice; Excellent knowledge of OSCE documents in the politico-military dimension as well as of the General Framework Agreement on Peace in BiH; Proven ability to draft and analyze reports and briefs of politico-military- and security-related nature, and to develop and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
Level of Professional Competence Requirements
Furthermore, this level of responsibility requires the following:
Education:
Second-level university degree in the fields of international relations, security and/or defence studies. A first-level university degree in combination with two years of additional qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the second-level university degree. Related specialized education/training in politico-military affairs topics such as security assistance/co-operation, arms control and/or CIMIC would be considered an advantage.
Experience:
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant, diversified and progressively responsible professional experience in politico-military affairs, including at least three (3) at the management level relevant to the actual position

Tasks and Responsibilities
Should you be selected for the position, you will serve as the advisor, project lead and co-ordinator of the Mission’s politico-military work, with particular emphasis on confidence- and security-building measures (CSBMs); arms control; management of small arms and light weapons (SALW) and stockpiles of conventional ammunition (SCA); and civil-military co-operation (CIMIC). You will develop, co-ordinate and execute programmes and projects that assist Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in the implementation of relevant international and regional commitments in these areas.
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Security Co-operation, you will be tasked with the following duties:
Monitoring, analysing and advising on developments, challenges, priorities and solutions with a view to supporting BiH implementation of relevant OSCE and other international commitments; Managing and co-ordinating the development, implementation and monitoring of, as well as reporting on, the Mission’s project support and political advocacy; Preparing inputs and feedback, including for the purpose of reporting and responding to media inquiries; Representing the Mission and the OSCE at events and/or activities, developing briefs and reports, and delivering presentations to internal and external audiences; Ensuring cost-effective use of project funding to maximize the benefit of OSCE support and implements cost-saving measures aimed at increasing sustainability and long-term project impact; Supervising the work of staff and tasks, approves, reviews and provides guidance for their work; Liaising with relevant national, regional and international partners/counterparts; Working closely with other Mission units/staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to security as well as effective support to improve BiH security and defence governance, including responding to new and emerging security threats and challenges and bolstering parliamentary oversight and democratic control; Promoting implementation of the OSCE Gender Action Plan and conducts gender mainstreaming of project work, including as pertains to representation/participation; Performing other duties as assigned by the Head of Security Co-operation.
