We are looking for an analytical, highly motivated and experienced individual to lead on some of Q3 Strategy’s largest consulting projects. The role will require you to think strategically and practically to support the day-to- day delivery of projects. You will need to be comfortable thinking outside the box to develop ideas, insights and concepts that support clients to achieve their goals. You will need to be a critical thinker and have experience working managing client relationships.

Specific activities will include:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of long and short-term projects in international development and global health.
  • Conducting in-depth desk-based research and rapid evidence reviews. Synthesis findings by identifying key themes, and defining key audiences across global settings.
  • Writing clear and concise technical briefs, policy and strategy documents for a broad range of audiences for a variety of professional audiences.
  • Conducting landscape and whitespace analysis to develop and prepare strategic recommendations, issue briefs, topical proposals, and other internal and external materials.
  • Managing project budgets and timelines, ensuring project progress accordingly by identifying and mitigating risks
  • Developing relevant interview guides and conducting stakeholder interviews
  • Coordinating large scale events, roundtable meetings and bilateral discussions, including preparing speakers, participants and observers of such engagements
  • Manage and coordinate relationships with stakeholders from across various sectors (government, NGO, corporate, multilateral)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, actively working to identify new areas for growth, alongside opportunities internally and externally to gather new insight. Working to share newly gained knowledge with colleagues and members of the team

All candidates must have the ability to meet the following criteria:

  • 4+ years of work experience global health or international development consulting
  • Experience managing small teams and leading projects from inception to delivery
  • MSc in Public Health or MPH or equivalent
  • Strong research skills (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Proficiency in using standard computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to move flexibly between projects and tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication and people skills; willing and able to work remotely with international team members

Desirable:

  • Additional language skills (French, Spanish, or German)
  • Project management qualification
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience managing project budgets and forecasting
  • Experiencing in business development (e.g., developing project tenders and proposals)
