developing and managing donor engagement and communications’ strategies targeting high net worth donor/potential donor, corporate partner and board member stakeholders.
Reporting to the Associate Director Communications, the Senior Officer will manage the following projects: (1)) Annual Action Against Hunger Gala, (2) Quarterly engagement events (3-4 per year: e.g. field visit, webinar, open board meeting, third-party event, salon) to cultivate, acquire, and steward major donor/potential donor and board relationships, and (3) the Development of donor-facing materials (print, video, digital) to help support fundraising.
The Senior Donor Engagement & Communications Officer needs to be highly adept at managing multiple projects, overseeing and managing project timelines and event execution; interacting with board members and high net worth donors and supporters; and facilitating across internal teams and functions to produce the desired results.
Strong candidates will possess strategic project management and interpersonal relationship skills along with a solid understanding of gala events management and potentially other types of smaller events (e.g. salon dinners) to cultivate donors. Must be a strong writer, have a deep understanding of donor needs, be detail oriented and able to manage board member interactions with confidence. Supervisory experience preferred as this individual will have oversight of a freelance gala coordinator for 3-4 months around the Gala in October.
