The position is assigned in the Results Management and Aid Effectiveness Division (SPRA) within the Strategy, Policy, and Partnerships Department (SPD). SPD provides ADB with strategic planning perspectives and direction, ensures policy and operations coordination, develops policies and business processes for sovereign and nonsovereign operations, supports allocation and monitoring of the use of operational resources, manages the implementation of development results and effectiveness, maintains institutional relations with the international development community and quality assurance of country partnership strategies, country operational business plans, and selected projects. SPD also has direct oversight functions for the three Representative Offices in Frankfurt, Tokyo, and Washington DC.

SPRA leads ADB’s actions and initiatives in implementing improved approaches, techniques, systems, and procedures for better management for development results (MfDR). SPRA ensures ADB’s alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and coordination of the implementation of ADB’s commitments on aid and development effectiveness.

Job Purpose
The Results Management Analyst provides all-around data management, analysis, and results communications support to SPRA’s various workstreams (corporate performance reporting, operations support in result framework preparation, SDG partnerships). The position contributes to delivering comprehensive and illustrative results communications support on a range of tasks related to operational and organizational performance of ADB including the annual Development Effectiveness Review (DEfR), and other flagship results communication products such as Together We Deliver and Results Reality. The position also renders advisory services and ad-hoc support to technical assistance processing and implementation including guidance on preparing and using a Design and Monitoring Framework (DMF), which is ADB’s project-level results monitoring framework. The incumbent also supports results dissemination and undertakes donor coordination including SPRA-led coordination work on ADB’s approach to achieving the SDGs and preparation of the Multilaterial Development Banks Working Group on Managing for Development Results (MfDR).

The incumbent will report to designated International Staff and senior National Staff.

Responsibilities

Designs infographics and visualizations for SPRA-led knowledge products, and enhances presentation of data tables, charts, and other visuals to convey key messages on the above topics. Supports results communications plan formulation and execution and renders support to summarizing and visualizing findings from the data analysis for the DEfR, briefing notes, and other SPRA products. Develops cutting-edge presentation and communication materials on assigned topics, which may involve use of specialized communication software and platforms such as video editing, desktop publishing products, and data visualization tools. Produces digital media to support SPRA’s outreach and awareness-raising activities. Helps organize, produce, and conduct online seminars and virtual conferences on the SDGs, managing for development results and aid effectiveness, as well as supports in-person events as applicable. Administers SPRA-managed social media platforms. Prepares meeting minutes, briefing papers, reports, and background materials for the Department and Management as required. Performs other SPRA tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Relevant Experience & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communications, or related field. At least 5 years of experience in communication strategy formulation and implementation, research, and analysis. Design skills and proficiency in using multimedia authoring and related tools to produce communication products. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Analytical skills and proven ability to work with complex datasheets. Possesses initiative and ability to think and work independently. General Considerations
The selected candidate, if new to ADB, is appointed for an initial term of 3 years.
