Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager and direct supervision of the Project Assistant, the successful candidate will, in coordination with the IM/PDSU Unit, will be responsible for supporting in the reporting and information management of all the activities conducted under the Migrants Resource and Response Mechanism (MRRM) within the IOM Libya Response portfolio.
He/she will be based in Tripoli with frequent travel to the field, and will assist with the following activities related to MRRM project

Role objectives

Support the implementation of the integrated mechanism for data gathering and information management across all activities to verify accurate and reliable data is collected, stored, and submitted in a timely manner to be used for further processing.
Support the effective implementation of various IM tools; undertake regular monitoring as per agreed timelines; draft project status and progress reports.
Assist with the design, set up of the effective information system and other databases and assist the implementation of information management mechanism.
Support in monitoring of the data collection processes and the overall data management activities including encoding, storing, and transferring data from database as well as processing, and support to the analysis of the collected data and information locally.
Support the design and implementation of mission’s Information Management Systems and reporting tools.
Support and promote the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping by verifying data collection has relevance to GIS coding.
Prepare and generate local level information products and reports such as dashboards, fact sheets, info sheets, weekly updates, monthly report and support on information sharing and dissemination to all relevant channels.
Participate in the development of training modules for the stakeholders as required for the implementation of information management mechanism to facilitate smooth roll out.
Support the recruitment, training and provide technical guidance and supervision to staff under the framework of the programme who are involved in field data collection, entry and data processing.
Communicate with and support stakeholders (Implementing Partners) with provision of technical guidance on the proper usage of IM and data collection tools.
Assist with translation if and when required.
Respect and promote IOM’s Data Protection Principles.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Project reporting

This role works under the overall supervision of the Reintegration & Outreach Officer

Key competenciesPrevious working experience in other international organizations (IOM, UN etc.) is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in performing responsibilities.
Ability to pay close attention to details and work with minimal supervision
Effective organizational skills and ability to establish priorities and plans, ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines.
Sound knowledge of financial and administrative management and effective resource management skills.
Good written and spoken communications skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications especially Excel, and good knowledge of Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign). Preferred knowledge of GIS software.
