DRC Tunisia protection portfolio aiming to contribute to the improvement of the humanitarian protection response in the governorate of Medenine by:

Understanding the profiles and experiences of refugees and migrants for sustainable response. Improving the governance and project management capacities of the identified CSOs through a diagnosis of their organizational capacities and an analysis of their strengthening needs. Strengthening the child and youth protection and integration mechanisms put in place by the identified CSOs through a modeling process of emergency referral services.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

Provide direct support to DRC partner organization in project implementation Ensure efficient and effective implementation of project respective activities like trainings, mentorships, knowledge and experience exchange events for CSOs etc. while following the work plan and budget. Assist in designing and delivering high quality capacity building activities to address the identified needs of CSOs Contribute to facilitating thematic workshops for the targeted CSOs to support knowledge and experience sharing, cooperation and networking Maintain regular communication with external experts and consultants, including carrying out coordination meetings and tracking progress of assigned tasks Carry out protection activities according to work plan and allocated budget in accordance with protection standards and the guidance of the protection team leader; Follow all protection guidelines and SoPs, including appropriate tools based on the job responsibilities, and provide regular feedback to technical unit on additional needs Ensure the adherence to ethical data collection and data protection and data sharing protocols throughout protection activities; Contribute to the monitoring of activities, progress and the collection of data throughout the implementation of projects as well as liaise with the DRC MEAL department Develop and maintain good relations with the project beneficiaries, relevant stakeholders and other humanitarian actors, to support adequate implementation and coordination of the project activities Coordinate with external stakeholders and other DRC programme and support departments with regard to procurement of services and synergetic programmatic approaches. Collaborate with Economic Recovery team to ensure implementation of DRC integrated programming approach. Document case studies, best practices and lessons learned from the cases handled by the protection staff Perform other related duties as assigned

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an entry to mid-level position in humanitarian protection or relevant social service field. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

Proven work experience in implementing migration, child protection, GBV protection, and/or legal aid activities in Tunisia. Proven record of community engagement and consultation, such as assessments, trainings, workshops, or awareness sessions. Technical understanding of core protection concepts, prevention and emergency response strategies. Experience in identifying and responding to needs of particular vulnerable individuals of people of concern based on protection risks, age, gender, and diversity analysis, and/ or other criteria. Strong planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team; Excellent skill in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Professional fluency in English, French and Arabic is required.
