Search for Common Ground (Search) is seeking a professional, motivated, and creative Project Manager (PM). Based in Erbil, Iraq, the PM will implement a four year Inclusive Peace and Security (IPS) program to strengthen women and youth’s meaningful participation in advancing inclusive peace and security in Iraq. IPS leverages Search’s decade-plus expertise in supporting women’s and youth’s inherent agency to be positive agents of change in their communities and countries. Recognizing that inclusive peace is mutually reinforced through bottom-up and top-down processes, IPS will amplify the influence of youth and women peacebuilders at the grassroots level, catalyze broad inclusion of grassroots peacebuilders in municipal and national institutions and peace processes, and advance social norms that support the meaningful inclusion of diverse stakeholders in peace and security.Program Implementation and Management● Creates a project work plan and coordinates all activities related to the project, including but not limited to planning, and following up on the implementation of activities, coordinating with local partners, and ensuring timely achievement of project milestones and objectives.● Manages project staff and consultants developing technical content and delivering training. ● Assists with communication and visibility aspects of the Iraq program, through written material, photos, success stories, updated website, social media and traditional media. ● Organize linking and learning events, as well as annual reflection workshops with a wider array of stakeholders to fact-check the results/reflect on previous year and develop annual plans for the upcoming year. Program Monitoring & Evaluation, and Reporting ● M&E Compliance: facilitate local partners in their M&E and reporting through training and coaching where necessary. Throughout the year, monitoring progress (in a supportive fashion) of partners through field and office visits.● Work with the DM&E staff of SFCG, including the Regional DM&E Specialist, to ensure that M&E frameworks are in place and implemented to document progress towards the project’s intended results.● Liaise with the global PMEAL team to support country level monitoring and evaluation efforts (guiding of local partners, collecting and compiling information, baseline/ midterm/endline, completing monitoring templates) and ensure the global PMEAL team provides tailor made training and handholding where required.● Monitors the project’s financial reporting and works in close collaboration with finance colleagues to ensure compliance.● Organize monthly internal meetings such as: Performance Indicator Tracking Table (PITT) meetings, quarterly reflection sessions, and budget vs actual (BVA) meetings. ● Receive and compile quarterly narrative and financial reports, consolidate monthly reports from local partners. Safeguarding ● Safeguard cross-cutting gender empowerment through the program.● Safeguard inclusivity and the Do No Harm principles laid out in the JISRA proposal document.● Ensure all local partners are familiar with Safeguarding against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and Sexual Harassment (SEAH), and other safeguarding policies.● Signal and communicate any suspicion of misconduct, fraud, etc. Collaboration with Stakeholders and Partners● Forge synergies between partners, particular those working on similar topics and/or similar areas.● Ensure that regional advocacy strategy is linked with local advocacy endeavors and exchange takes place.● Dispute resolution and problem solving/crisis management.● Channels contacts with other Affiliated entities, like subcontractors, consortium stakeholders (transcending local partner contacts, and media platforms).

Qualification


    • Education
    • A university degree or equivalent certificate/diploma or similar qualification from a recognized establishment or equivalent experiences.
    • Experience
    • At least 5-7 years’ professional experience in a comparable position.
    • Previous experience in community engagement and peacebuilding programming in Iraq.
    • Demonstrated experience in working with local CSOs and government stakeholders in Iraq.
    • Demonstrated experience or knowledge of Women, Peace, & Security doctrine and the Iraq WPs Action Plan.
    • Strong experience in coordinating and planning community outreach activities.
    • Proven experience in data collection and analysis as well as familiarity with M&E tools.
    • Strong knowledge of local context and dynamics in Iraq.
    • Fluency in oral and written Kurdish, and English. Arabic desired.
