Job Summary
The Project Assistant is responsible is to assist in the implementation of the project activities in the area of coverage.
Responsibilities
Community Partnership Building
In collaboration with other POs assigned to other project in the same area, assist in conducting session with key municipal and community leaders to secure their interest and commitments
Assist in Facilitating the gathering/updating of project baseline data into community profile and ensure that these are communicated in the community in collaboration with other POs.
Encourage and actively participate in interagency municipal/barangay events to foster greater team work among development players in collaboration with other POs.
Project Management
Assist in facilitating project implementation based from the operational plan
Assist in facilitating monitoring and reflection sessions with community partners including children.
Document community projects, activities and processes highlighting the best practices
Submit to Project Coordinator needed project reports for consolidation
Support the Project Coordinator in the facilitation of purchase request and purchase orders needed for the project
Reporting
Prepare and submit accomplishment reports to completion within agreed deadlines for the assigned project.
Ensure proper documentation best practices of implementation process of the projects
Comply with organizational policies and standards at all times in reporting incidences and concerns in the assigned area.
Compliance to Corporate Mandates
Comply with all organizational policies and standards such as but not limited to Child Safeguarding Policy, Anti-Fraud, Whistle Blower Policy, and P&C, Finance and Operations policies and procedures
Participation in any Country Office committee as requested
Personal Development
Attends internally and externally facilitated training events, workshops, symposiums, studies, conferences to enhance level of performance. Maximize the use of ICT for greater awareness of local and global trends affecting development work. Accepts special objective assignments for skills enhancement and expansion.
Shares learning to benefit others
Performs other tasks that are needed to ensure deliverables of project/program implementation will be met.

Essential qualifications
Education
Work experience
Experience working with INGOs, preferably with child-rights organizations
Background in gender based violence in emergencies and humanitarian work
Minimum experience of 2 years in relevant roles
Exposed and has knowledge in managing and implementing project / program outline.
Ability to prioritize and manage a complex and varied workload, often with tight deadlines
Knowledge and Practice
Understanding of a child rights-based approach and/or a human rights-based approach
In-depth knowledge of requirements and competencies of development/aid workers
Partnership building and networking experience with INGOs and Networks relevant to EDUCO’s priorities
