The USAID-funded Partnering for Resilience Program (hereinafter the “project”) is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with four UN Agencies: Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women). The project aims to foster the peacebuilding and conflict transformation with an ultimate goal to promote an enabling environment for sustainable peace.

The project builds on the success and lessons learned from previous and current interventions of UNDP and UN partner organizations in support of conflict-affected communities and the lasting peace in general. The project has three objectives to reach the ultimate goal of the intervention:

Objective 1: Improved enabling environment and increased demand for sustainable peace Objective 2: Expanded interaction and confidence-building opportunities Objective 3: Strengthened information ecosystem.

Under the overall guidance of UNDP CPR Team Leader, direct supervision of the UNDP Project Manager, and in close cooperation with the UNDP Deputy Project Manager, the Project Analyst will be based in Zugdidi and will provide support to the community mobilization, resilience building and grant components of the project, including the calls for proposals, handle finance/admin matters, and participate in the overall monitoring of sub-grants. He/she will also supervise community mobilization and public awareness activities ensuring the smooth implementation the project in the area of responsibility. The Project Analyst also provides technical and analytical inputs for the project reporting. Duties and Responsibilities:

Contribute to coordinated, coherent and efficient workflow processes for smooth implementation of the project:

In cooperation with the Project Manager and the deputy Project Manager participate in the development of LVGs for CSO partners and grantees; Contribute to the preparation of reporting, including but not limited to the project interim and final reports and briefs and development of user-friendly charts, tables and diagrams reflecting project achievement, statistical data, and outreach; Performs other duties assigned by the Project Manager; Ensures donor and UNDP visibility in all activities performed within the project Perform in full compliance with UNDP programming, financial, procurement and administrative rules, regulations, policies, and strategies, as well as ensure effective internal controls.

Planning, implementing, and overseeing field activities with regard to the project implementation:

Plans operational implementation of all project related activities in the area of responsibility, including, but not limited to launching events, meeting with local stakeholders, communities, awareness-raising and information sessions, negotiations with partners, support to the capacity building of project partners, developing strategic priorities and project ideas/fiches etc.; Supports international and local consultants in performing relevant activities in the AoR; Establishes and maintains strong channels of communication with all local partners (including CSOs, local institutions, communities, businesses etc.); Facilitates knowledge management with regard to lessons learnt within the Project; Cooperates with other stakeholders– and enhances exchange of experiences of all project activities  implemented in the AoR; Plans and supervises capacity building activities implemented within low value grants and responsible partner agreements; Provides timely reports to the Project Manager.

Building partnerships with key stakeholders at the local level and other UNDP partners:

Ensures understanding of project goals, approaches and expected results by key partners at the local level (districts, villages, business associations, civil society etc.), through awareness-raising initiatives and dissemination of information. Maintain communication with partner organizations; Through various interventions (meetings, presentation, negotiations etc.) ensures the project buy-in from critical partners at the local level; Maintains close relationships with stakeholders, by conducting analysis of interests of key groups, as well as analysis of risks and relevant mitigation activities.

Institutional Arrangement:

The Project Analyst will work under the overall guidance of the CPR Team Leader and the direct supervision of the UNDP Project Manager and in close cooperation with the project and other UNDP teams in the Country Office.  Competencies Core Competencies:
