Purpose of the Role:

Ensure smooth planning and implementation of projects in line with donor requirements and humanitarian policies, including team mentoring and support, and ensuring appropriate coordination with all sectors and organizational functions. Attending, coordinating and submitting reports to the relevant clusters, writing proposals and concept notes, setting direct budgets, in addition to being able to work on finding new opportunities and grants and applying for.

Main objectives:

  • Strategize, implement, and maintain program activities that adhere to organizational objectives,
  • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement,
  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance,
  • Oversee multiple projects teams, ensuring program goals are reached,
  • Manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity;
  • In addition to planning, organizing, staff leading and controlling programs activities for the successful delivery,

Responsibilities:

-To decide on suitable strategies and objectives,
-Coming up with sustainable goals for the organization,
-Coordination cross-projects activities,
-Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities,
-Meeting with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals,
-planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action,
-Reporting/regular update the progress of the program at regular stages to CEO,
-Ensuring the quality and the overall integrity of the program,
-Develop/Assist in writing proposals in many sectors and know the donor requirements, in addition to provide technical inputs,
-Support the preparation of the projects' budget,
-Provide programmatic leadership & team management in the development and implementation of the programs,
-Representing the organization in programmatic issues with donors, clusters and other stakeholders,
-Supervises staff assigned to program department,
-Liaise with Logistics, MEAL, Finance , HR…..etc and all stakeholders from SDH regarding projects' activities implementation,
-Assist in building new partnerships and relations with key NGOs and donors regarding related programs,

Qualifications & requirements:

  • Relevant University degree, or equivalent experience; At least 5 years’ of total experience in humanitarian or development programs in the Syrian context.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including the ability to give effective feedback and to guide and mentor direct reports.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent writing skills in English and demonstrated the ability to write and edit reports and proposals under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the humanitarian and development sectors, and experience with and knowledge of humanitarian standards.
  • Proven high experience to manage a field team remotely
  • Proven skills in leading, reporting, analyzing, and problem-solving.

Language Preference:

  • Required to be able to communicate at a Fluent level (written and verbal) in English.

  • Required to be able to communicate at a Fluent level (written and verbal) in Arabic.
