• Support the implementation of GLO.ACT Bangladesh activities at national and regional level, in accordance with the GLO.ACT workplan for Bangladesh and Theory of Change.
  • Support the monitoring of the GLO.ACT Bangladesh workplan, including follow-up activities to gather data as per the GLO.ACT Bangladesh Outcome Monitoring Tool.
  • Support the organization and coordination of administrative arrangements for workshops, trainings, and other project events as per the GLO.ACT Bangladesh workplan, including by arranging procurement of services in line with UN procurement regulations and financial rules and support quality assurance of deliverables.
  • Support the GLO.ACT-Bangladesh National Programme Officer in assessing the project performance, utilization of resources, and achievement planned targets.
  • Support the GLO.ACT-Bangladesh National Programme Officer, Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling in Bangladesh in preparing donor progress reports, workplans and other material to support the project implementation.
  • Support the GLO.ACT-Bangladesh National Programme Officer in developing concept notes, project document, background papers, correspondence with stakeholders, mission reports, presentations, ad-hoc reports, web stories, etc.
  • Support the revision of the workplan for Bangladesh, including accompanying budget for the timely and realistic achievement of the project objectives, and monitor expenditures as per funding agreement.
  • Support follow-up on administrative requests related to finance, procurement, travel, and recruitment. Ensure full compliance of UN rules and regulations, policies and administrative instructions.
  • Provide substantive support to the National Programme Officer, Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling for smooth implementation of the overall GLO.ACT Bangladesh workplan.
  • Assist in carrying out coordination with key stakeholders including government and non-government sector. 
  • Attend and contribute to project initiatives and foster the relationship with government counterparts, donor, civil society and law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist the GLO.ACT-Bangladesh National Programme Officer in the implementation of the GLO.ACT Communication and Visibility Plan for GLO.ACT Bangladesh.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in the field of law, development studies, public administration, political science, international relations or related fields in the mentioned disciplines.
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in programme management/support as well as programme planning, monitoring and evaluation in national and/or international development organizations is required.
  • Experience of working with law enforcement agencies with specific focus on human trafficking and migrant smuggling issues is required.
  • Previous experience in development project management and implementation is required.
  • Knowledge and experience working with the Government of Bangladesh is required.
  • Work experience with UN and knowledge of UN policies, guidelines and procedures is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Bangla.
  • Excellent reporting and drafting skills for routine correspondence and proficiency in related computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Contract Duration: Initially for one year, extension subject to availability of funds.
