Know our team

Nutrition International’s Program Operations Unit is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Nutrition International’s core program interventions including program development, design, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting, and grant management, including setting annual operational planning, budgeting, and review processes. The unit comprises a global team of professionals located in our 10 core countries across Asia, Africa and our headquarters in Ottawa, Canada. Currently, Nutrition International is seeking applications for a Program Officer, Monitoring, Reporting and Knowledge Sharing to be based in Ottawa, Canada.

About you

You are someone with a bachelor's degree required; an MBA or advanced Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning ​(MEAL) related degree preferred. You have 3-5 years of experience in a monitoring and reporting role for an international NGO or public sector agency, specific experience with public health or nutrition programs preferred. In addition, specific experience with the development of gender sensitive MEAL systems, tools and processes preferred. You have high level IT and data visualization skills – especially PowerBI/Tableau, Databases (excel, access), sharepoint, office 360 and others.

Fluency in English is required. French will be considered an asset.

About the role

In this role you will:

  • Work with key staff at Regional and Country Offices to collect and compile data and provide a narrative analysis.
  • Provide support to Regional Monitoring and Reporting teams to use and maintain data entry sheets and dashboards for core and non-core grants.
  • Work with all Nutrition International Units to build staff capacity to effectively use MS SharePoint, that allows for user-friendly capture and retrieval of program information and monitoring data at global, regional and country level.
  • Generate summary data to be used in various Nutrition International reports and other documents; including an annual corporate report, communication materials, new proposals etc.

  • Some official travel is anticipated, however is not expected to exceed 20 days per year and will only be authorized as the need arises.​
