About the Program Director role

You are the CEO of Mali Sales, including both seasonal activities and special projects, and you are the glue between the field team and supporting departments.

Drive a sales organization to achieve maximum growth in line with myAgro’s vision and strategic objectives. Establish and own the territorial plans and sales strategies aimed at serving and expanding the customer base. Manage the sales team to deliver consistently high quality execution and collaborate with other country and regional teams to ensure barriers are overcome and goals are achieved

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Achieve the sales objectives for Senegal through meticulous planning & execution and leading a highly motivated and focused team.
  • Ensure country sales strategy is translated into detailed executable plans for the field sales team and the call center.
  • Use data to target marketing activities and build impactful plans to ensure sales objectives are achieved.
  • Identify opportunities for improved sales effectiveness and customer service.
  • Plan channel strategies to ensure both the call center and the field sales team are working in an aligned and effective way to optimize sales achievements.
  • Coaching and development of team members to maximise their sales performance through appropriate use of sales force effectiveness methodology and performance & development process. Accelerate development of high potential employees.
  • Form part of the Senegal management team and collaborate with other country teams and the regional teams in development of both strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Diligent monitoring and control of all assigned regional budgets.
  • Drive continuous improvements to facilitate exceptional team output and customer service.
  • Manage multiple delivery outcomes at the same time and provide both strategic and tactical input as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and French
  • Experience leading large field teams to achieve ambitious sales targets
  • Data driven approach to sales management
  • Deep skills in building and motivating a high performing sales team

  • Eager to get mud on your boots – go to the field often and sell side by side with the field team

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrated success in execution & delegation, quality results, developing others, and communication

  • Experience with mobile money agent networks, commission-based sales networks, and/or rural sales networks a plus
