Overview
In close coordination with USAID, the program will contribute to the US government efforts to address the root causes of irregular migration from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, including increasing community and institutional resilience.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Procurement & Logistics Assistant will be responsible for reviewing overall procurement processes, tracking procurements of goods and services through the procurement cycle, ensuring that adequate competition is achieved for procurements, and providing regular procurement mentoring to project staff to support project implementation. S/he will provide timely staff services and efficient office operations in the areas of: voice communications, mail, inventory management, supplies and equipment maintenance.
REPORTING & SUPERVISION
The Procurement & Logistics Assistant reports to the Procurement & Logistics Officer.

High school diploma required. University degree in management, business administration, law or related field preferred.
1+ year of general work experience and 1+ years of specific experience relative to the position required.
Prior USAID or other donor experience is highly desirable.
Medium level spoken and written English is highly desired, entry level required.
Spanish fluency required.
Experience with budgeting and cost analysis.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Strong attention to detail and ability to develop tracking systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to function well in a team setting.
Demonstrated ability to solve challenging and complicated administrative issues.
Must have existing work authorization for El Salvador.
