The Role

At Last Mile Health, we are all stewards of our reputation and our resources. Are you a strong project manager with experience in grants management and are looking to continue your career in health access? If so, you may be the next Partnerships and Grants Coordinator at Last Mile Health (LMH).

Reporting to the Grants Manager, the Liberia-based Partnerships and Grants Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient and effective management of grants that cover LMH’s programming in Liberia. This position will be a critical member of our Global Grants Management and Compliance team and will help to ensure compliance with donor and internal requirements, while also coordinating across departments to track and promote progress towards grant deliverables.

The Partnerships and Grants Coordinator will help to coordinate and manage on-the-ground logistics for partner visits to LMH’s field sites in remote regions of Liberia. This involves effective project management and coordination across LMH departments in the US and Liberia to facilitate successful planning and execution of strategically-aligned and meaningful partner visits.

What You'll Do

  • Support implementation of Grants Management standard operating procedures through the grant lifecycle including grant launch, mid-term review, and close out meetings.
  • In collaboration with the Liberia-based Grants Manager, monitor the spend down and coordination between Finance and Administration (F&A) and budget managers to address material variances.
  • Support information management and exchange related to grant and program implementation and play a key role in the consistent delivery of timely, high-quality, and accurate reports that are tailored to partner priorities.
  • Engage in cross-team coordination to ensure that grant requirements are understood and incorporated within workplans and priorities, and to source information and updates for content development.
  • Work with the Global Grants Management & Compliance team and Partnerships & Communications team to complete high-quality assigned donor reporting that is tailored to partner expectations and positions LMH for continued partnership.
  • Support the development and execution of strategically-aligned partner visits, including itinerary design, coordination of trip logistics and operations, and budget management

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, international relations, business management, gender studies, political science, human rights, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience with grants administration and/or donor reporting and/or on a development team.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, with strong project management and work-planning skills.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills; ability to develop clear and convincing written materials.
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.

You'll Impress Us If

  • You have a Masters degree in public health, public policy, or an MBA.
  • You have experience working in a resource-limited setting.
