Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the implementation and oversight of the capacity building program under FHI 360 in the province. Provide technical direction in activity planning for all capacity development components under projects implemented in the province.
  • Provide comprehensive, customized, and documented mentoring and technical assistance institutions and organizations receiving capacity strengthening/TA.
  • Administer organizational and technical capacity assessments with the selected partners in the province and support the development of institutional strengthening plans (ISPs).
  • Support the development of materials and processes for specific areas/topics identified as needed for capacity development of local partners, including trainings, mentoring, and coaching, partners peer learning and other methodologies.
  • Promote sustainability of project activities with effective networking, coordination, and linkages to other programs, partners and counterparts, capacity building of project staff, and institutional strengthening of implementing partners and community-based organizations.
  • Ensure implementation and monitoring of workplan deliverables.
  • Ensure quality of capacity strengthening activities being implemented in provincial level.
  • Work intensively with the partners to address gaps in organizational systems and technical areas.
  • Work under the supervision Organizational Development Advisor to coordinate, implement, and report on provincial level capacity strengthening activities. Including in-person and virtual check-ins.
  • Collaborate and work with Provincial Technical Leads to ensure capacity strengthening activities are integrated and aligned with other provincial level activities.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferably in public health, business administration, social work, sociology, public health or similar academic field
    • At least 2 years of work experience in organizational development in Mozambique
    • Experience in capacity building with coaching and mentoring experience.
    • Excellent facilitation skills as a trainer/capacity builder.
    • Demonstration of strong skills in management, leadership, and supervision.
    • Strong oral and written skills in Portuguese and English.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
