How can you make a difference?
Under overall guidance and supervision of Chief of Education, support the National Directorate for Electronic Education and Library (DNEEB)-MoEYS to manage distance learning platforms and social media.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assess the 2021 work plan priorities of the National Directorate of Education Electronic & Library -MEJD to ensure accessibility and functioning of different digital learning platforms and programs supporting distance learning and develop a 6-month work plan.
2. Support DNEEB to manage distance learning platforms: The Learning Passport and Eskola ba Uma app, MoEYS Facebook page and Eskola ba Uma WhatsApp group, Tele Eskola, YouTube, website and other relevant tools, making sure that all the necessary digital materials are uploaded in all the platforms as required.
Serve as lead for troubleshooting and provide troubleshooting support to the users of the distance learning platforms.
3.1. Provide support to DNEEB in posting relevant content and messages on social media (Facebook and YouTube), in consultation with MoE staff.
3.2. Manage the digital learning community, replying to messages on social media, answering questions/doubts, and organizing activities to ensure participation and collaboration.
3.3. Support DNEEB to make sure that SMS and other communication means about distance learning program and other distance learning materials are available and sent to beneficiaries as required.
3.4. Identify any potential communications channels, and distance learning modalities as well as target audiences at National and Municipal level and continue to extend the accessibility of digital learning materials.
3.5. Monitor and assess the use of various existing distance learning platforms/programs and contribute to the regular reporting of distance learning implementation.
4. Provide training to support users (learners, teachers, etc.) and stakeholders at key moments as determined by MEJD.
5. Coordinate with UCN and other technical staff in the ministry to identify existing digital content (such as from Khan Academy, Tig-Tag/TWIG, Sesame Street etc) and support to localize these including dubbing and/or sub-titling in local languages, quality assuring their deliverables from a digital perspective.
6. Edit the existing 68 episodes of Eskola ba Uma into smaller segments as appropriate based on instructions from DNEEB and technical staff.
7.1. Organize an electronic filing and documentation system for all the distance learning materials produced for distance learning.
7.2. Work with other existing technical staff within the MoEYS to provide ongoing capacity building support to DNEEB staff on management of Eskola Ba Uma distance learning platforms, websites and social media channels and to effectively manage different digital learning platforms and social media.
8. Prepare and develop key messages for presentations and reports as needed.
9. Document lessons learned, challenges, and good practices.
DELIVERABLE: Submission of monthly report and attendance sheet certified by MOEYS
CONTRACT DURATION: three months to be started as soon as possible.
