Panagora Group, a small business specializing in global health and international development, seeks an experienced MEL Specialist for an anticipated 5-year USAID-funded activity entitled, Eliminate Tuberculosis from Ethiopia (ETBE). The goal of the ETBE Activity is to reduce tuberculosis (TB) incidence and mortality by improving the quality, access, utilization and sustainability of TB services.

This is a long-term position will be located in Addis Ababa and is expected to start in April 2020. The position is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the implementation of the Performance Management Plan
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and oversight for design and learning services of the project and the discovery of good practices in existing systems
  • Design and oversee technical STTA scopes of work and products
  • Ensure the collection and application of high-quality, relevant, appropriate data and information
  • Provide short-term and potentially longer-term technical assistance as relevant
  • Contribute to content and communications for AWEP knowledge management

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in agricultural economics, gender, or social science that emphasizes qualitative research methods
  • Minimum of four (5) years of experience managing monitoring, evaluation and learning for donor-funded activities
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with preferable experience in TB M&E in and outside Ethiopia
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in applying mixed methods evaluation approaches, conducting performance monument of development programming and/or conduction applied research on gender and/or women’s empowerment in food and agriculture systems
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and software such as SPSS
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a legal resident of Ethiopia
