As Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, based in Kyiv, you'll support the implementation of Estonian Refugee Council's Country Office projects. You'll be responsible for gathering monitoring data from the field, following up on projects’ activities, and reporting to the M&E Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct monitoring and evaluation activities for ongoing projects (including baseline and end-line surveys, Post Distribution and Post Intervention Monitoring, mid-term and post-project evaluation etc.).
  • Carry out the cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing M&E data from different projects and programmes.
  • Support in developing and establishing ERC’s humanitarian accountability mechanisms including the improvement of the Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM).
  • Ensure regular updates on progress and challenges to MEAL Manager.
  • Support in needs assessments studies; assist in designing ToR, tools, and research.
  • Assist junior team members in data collection and analysis.
  • Carry out and/or assist in trainings, learning events in regards to MEAL and contribute in MEAL team members capacity development, including trainings for enumerators, MEAL officers and staff of implementing partners.
  • Support internal learning processes by identifying key learning areas for ongoing and new projects and ensuring provision of quality learning related deliverables.
  • Provide support to all programme teams on technical questions linked to M&E.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g. humanitarian studies, project management, social sciences, sociology).
  • Minimum one year of relevant work experience - preferably in humanitarian context, social work, community development, NGOs or civil society.
  • Experience in use of data collection and data analysis tools will be an asset.
  • You demonstrate organizational skills as well as abilities to analyze and synthesis.
  • You have basic computer skills, including a good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in Ukrainian language. Proficiency in English is an asset.
