• Processes the program day to day activities.
  • Ensures adequate and timely processing of applications and monitoring of eligibility of patients for MHF services.
  • Prepares commitment letters to patients in line with the eligibility and scope of services provided.
  • Keeps detailed account of expenditures under each service.
  • Monitors expenditure against the allocated budget while liaising with Finance and Donor Relations Departments.
  • Ensures the most effective and efficient use of allocated financial resources.
  • Performs analyses in order to provide reports on the status of the implementation of the program and any deviation from the established plan to assist management decision making.
  • Liaises with potential partners (Non-Governmental Organizations, Health Care Providers, Private Companies, Individuals etc.) and establishes and maintains a sound system of coordination with them.
  • Conducts periodic meetings with partners to ensure good coordination and mutual satisfaction regarding the activities of the program.
  • Coordinates closely with the other divisions in the health department as well as other departments in UNRWA including but not limited to Relief & Social Services, Finance Department, Donor Relations Unit and Public Information Office.
  • Prepares fundraising proposals and progress reports.
  • Provides content for communication materials and fundraising efforts in coordination with DRU and PIO.
  • Reports to the Chief, Field health program patient feedback, service provision gaps, and other project obstacles.
  • Coordinates logistics and communications related to the Medical Hardship Fund advisory reports.
  • Performs other activities as requested
