Job Purpose:

To do and follow up the MEAL activities based on donor requirements at Violet projects and support project managers to improve the implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Project-based MEAL Implementation

Following up on the implementation of the project's MEAL plan and updating it on a monthly basis

Delivery of the requirements according to the plan and according to the agreed dates with the project manager and partner

Closely supervise data collection activities of the field team and ensure that data collection teams are organized and resourced as needed and that they deliver as per field mission plans and according to data quality standards;

Develop and oversee the implementation of appropriate data collection and analysis instruments, methodologies (e.g. survey questionnaires, focus group discussions, key-informant interviews), and data/information dissemination/utilization plans;

Follow-up budget disbursements allocated to the project

Follow-up updates /daily-weekly-monthly / with the project MEAL team

Share the weekly updates with the line manager and project manager

Implement the MEAL policies and procedures and make sure that the tools are followed as requested

Participate in staff and project meetings

Reporting

Produce project-related MEAL reports

Monitor and update the project indicators on a monthly basis

Ensure timely access to monitoring and evaluation results for the project team by data analysis, and timely production of reports

Communicate any significant changes in the project activities mainly to the line manager, and when required other related team members

Accountability

Manage relevant daily tasks of the Community Complaints Response Mechanism to address complaints and feedback, and coordinate with the Accountability Officer, where applicable

Ensure safeguarding standards for PSEA and child safeguarding are upheld by him/herself and the assigned project MEAL staff in the field.

Learning

Documenting lessons learned, recommendations, and follow-up with program teams on the implementation of recommendations through review meetings

Document examples of good practices and challenges related to monitoring and accountability at the project level

Ensure that findings are reflected and their recommendations are incorporated in future concept notes, proposals, and implementation plans

Qualification (Education/Work Experience):

At least two years of experience in an M&E, accountability, program quality, or related role preferably with a humanitarian organization

Good level of English and fluent in Arabic.

Strong conceptual and practical understanding of the role and purpose of M&E and accountability for humanitarian organizations

Strong written and verbal communications skills required in English

Ability to use MS Office programs, particularly Excel (advanced skills are an asset)

Knowledge of KoBo, GIS, and Power BI is considered an asset

English language required; Arabic and/or Turkish desirable;

Good organizational skills, time management skills, and an ability to prioritize multiple and demanding tasks

Adaptable, self-motivated, and willing to learn and take on extra duties as required.
