CODE OF CONDUCT

MedGlobal Code of Conduct reflects the profession’s core set of beliefs and values of care, respect, trust, and integrity. These beliefs and values are fundamental to MedGlobal employees, volunteers, interns, consultants, officers’ coordinators, and directors to guide their practice and conduct.

The Code is organized into categories, as follows:

  1. Always act with fairness, honesty, integrity, and openness; respect the opinions of others and treat all with equality and dignity without regard to gender, race, colour, creed, ancestry, place of origin, political beliefs, religion, marital status, disability, age, or sexual orientation.

has the following responsibilities and duties:

Monitoring and Evaluation 60%

  • Carry out quantitative and qualitative data collection activities at either area or sub-office level
  • Doing surveys with the beneficiaries
  • Conduct field monitoring visits to the project sites to assess progress, identify challenges, gather feedback from the beneficiaries and submit a detailed field visit report about the activities to the Senior MEAL officer along with the corrected actions.
  • Ensure quality data collection from the field and review the data to identify incomplete and/or inconsistent information.
  • Conduct field visits to the PHCs and beneficiaries’ houses (where possible) and report
  • Facilitate KII and FGDs with beneficiaries and report accordingly
  • Closely work with MEAL Officers and MEAL Manager and contribute to the monthly, quarterly and regular reporting commitments.
  • Undertake data analysis (including data visualization) and produce reports accordingly in collaboration with MEAL Officers.
  • Any other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Accountability and Learning 40%

  • Respond to MedGlobal Feedback and Complaints Response Mechanism (FCRM) Hotline and WhatsApp calls and messages on daily bases, record them and report through digitalized system timely respecting confidentiality and safety of all parties
  • Organize awareness-raising sessions about FCRM and MedGlobal accountability principles to beneficiaries in training events, gatherings, and bilateral meetings (in-person and online)
  • Disseminate information about MedGlobal FCRM using posters, visit cards, brochures, etc. to the public by any means possible in the training centers, offices, partner offices, online platforms, etc.
  • Contribute to information-sharing meetings with MEAL Officers to present monitoring findings, complaint and feedback summary and evaluation learnings.
  • Follow up with the MEAL Manager, CoC focal points and relevant program staff to respond to the recorded complaints timely.
  • Any other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements and Skills:

MEAL Assistant should have the following skills, education, and experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in monitoring and evaluation with local or international humanitarian organizations.
  • University degree in social sciences, development studies, agriculture, nutrition, statistics or a related field, a master’s degree is an added value.
  • Experience working with excel, preferably advanced skills in excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, kobo toolbox and report writing.
  • Knowledge and experience in qualitative and quantitative data management techniques including proficient and skillful use of EXCEL and WORD.
  • Good communication skill.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools, research methodologies, data quality assurance, quantitative and qualitative data analysis and M&E report writing.

Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multicultural setting is an advantage.
