Tetra Tech International Development Services is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Logistics Coordinator position on an anticipated USAID-funded Regional Disaster Assistance Program (RDAP) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). RDAP’s primary objective is to build disaster management and risk reduction capacity to improve the ability of host nations and regional entities to effectively respond to disasters, reducing the human consequences of disasters and the need for U.S. government assistance. In LAC, USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) office provides support to risk management programs through its regional office in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Position Description: Supports procurement and program logistics, including procurement, transport of procured goods, and oversight of asset and inventory management and control. Coordinates travel and transportation arrangements for Program staff and follows proper internal and USAID procedures. Supports procurement in compliance with internal and USAID procurement policies and standard operating procedures. This position is based out of San Jose, Costa Rica.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for supporting day-to-day project administration, including policy compliance, financial oversight, operational readiness, transportation and mobilization of goods, staff and resources, safety and security administration, and procurement needs.
* Managing administrative and logistical tasks, including support for event planning and management.
* Leading logistical planning for travel and mobilization of project staff and associated stakeholders to support program activities and initiatives and emergency response activities where needed.

Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field required, advanced degree preferred.
* Two (2) to three (3) years of administrative, organizational, and logistical experience associated with meeting and public event planning, domestic and international travel, and conduct in the Latin America and the Caribbean context. Experience working in a similar position for a donor-funded project is preferred.
* Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in high profile event management and communications, including the use of remote technologies. Experience with website development and maintenance is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of staff.
* Excellent organization and time management skills.
* Fluency in English and Spanish required, French and/or Portuguese an added plus.
* Candidates must be able to legally work in Costa Rica.
