The Learning and Business Development Coordinator is responsible for providing primary support to the Technical Learning Application department (TLA), program management and project staff in the organization and development of accessible learning products. They will also develop and catalog learning products, tools, and other technical information for efficient use in proposal design and project implementation. Specific responsibilities will focus on the collection, organization, publication, and communication of ACDI/VOCA technical knowledge, approaches, and products, especially for use of effective winning proposals.

Responsibilities

TLA Support and Coordination: Maintain and contribute to development of TLA communication tools. Contribute to organizational and practice area improvements by serving on task forces. Support tool development with research, formatting, editing, and tracking functions. Research and generate background reports quickly, tailored to specific needs. Support TLA specialists with the collation, analysis, visualization and reporting of monitoring and evaluation data. Engage in the pilot testing of tools, or to participate in technical assignments with TLA colleagues. Compile and promote creative approaches for new business efforts (briefers, infographics, success stories, etc.)

Business Development (BD): Track TLA engagement in proposal capture and preparation phases. Participate in regular BDG Working Group meetings representing TLA. Support the drafting of proposal sections related to technical learning. Support new business activities pre-solicitation by networking with partners and consultants, collecting preliminary documentation, tracking potential new business leads, etc. Conduct proposal-specific or general research on topics related to potential or actual proposal efforts, such as potential partners, country context or technical issues affecting potential program implementation. Support development of graphic design, visual representation of technical concepts, maintain library of effective technical graphics, etc. Support tracking of outcomes for use in proposals and presentations.

Knowledge Management (KM): Promote use of data driven approaches for improving project technical performance. Coordinate TLA engagement with corporate knowledge management processes and with Communications and Outreach (C&O). Support the capture, organization, packaging and sharing of technical experiences and learning through new and established mechanisms (Aviator, SharePoint, Teams, Webinars, Brown Bags, website, external newsletters, etc). Liaise with KM and C&O team to facilitate learning across and among TLA, BD M&E, and Projects. Support and enhance the company's culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion and align with our corporate values by treating others with respect and congeniality. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience. Experience working overseas work or/in international development or related field is preferred. Master’s degree in international development, agriculture, finance, economics or other related field required. Additional years of relevant experience may offset the requirement for an advanced degree. Experience with multi-media applications, Excel, Word, Power Point, Power-BI and other Microsoft programs. Demonstrated sound oral, written, and reading comprehension abilities. Writing samples will be required. Fluency in English required, additional language skills strongly desired. Demonstrated experience in proposal development and persuasive writing. Diverse experiences in more than one continent and various socio-political contexts preferred. Substantial technical knowledge and field experience in food and nutrition security, climate resilience, women empowerment, or gender equality preferred. Experience in advocacy, communications, and presentation for diverse audiences preferred. Understanding of adult learning styles, and experience designing appropriate training and learning experiences preferred. Ability and willingness to travel overseas.
