The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal is seeking a talented laboratory technician who is experienced in the use of molecular assays, mainly DNA extraction from different type of samples, PCR, nPCR, qPCR for the detection and quantification of the P.falciparum, for the MAMAH project.
The tasks will be developed in the malaria research laboratory at Centro Esther Koplowitz (CEK) in Barcelona, under the direct supervision of Mr Pau Cisteró, in the laboratory of Dr Alfredo Mayor. The candidate may not have specific experience in malaria PCR, but knowledge and experience about Real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR) technique is necessary. Training on P.falciparum qPCR will be provided.
During the crisis caused by COVID19, standard working conditions will be adapted to sanitary requirements.
