The Directorate for Public Governance (GOV) works to help governments at all levels design and implement strategic, evidence-based and innovative policies to strengthen public governance, respond effectively to diverse and disruptive economic, social and environmental challenges and deliver on governments’ commitments to citizens. The Governance Indicators and Performance Division (GIP) develops, gathers and disseminates governance statistics to monitor the performance of governments and to better understand the contribution of governance to development and inclusive societies. The Division is responsible for the publication OECD Government at a Glance, its regional editions, and the OECD Survey on Drivers of Trust in Public Institutions. GIP is looking for several Junior Policy Analysts to contribute to the work of the Governance Indicators and Performance Division (GIP) by carrying out responsibilities in the area of: Indicator Development, Data Analysis  and Project Implementation Support. One of the selected candidates will support the analytical work on the Drivers of Trust in Public Institutions, carrying out data analysis and contributing to draft reports. The other selected candidate will work on projects supporting the measurement of performance in the public sector, including public services performance and the measurement of innovation capacity.

The successful candidates will have proven quantitative and statistical/analytical skills along with experience in survey design and the measurement, research and analysis of public governance processes and outcomes. They will have experience in collaborating on complex projects and will be able to work independently and deliver on tight deadlines. Successful candidates will integrate into small teams under the guidance of senior staff. In particular the selected candidates are  expected to.

Policy analyst for work on measuring drivers of trust

  • Manage and analyse complex and large datasets based on individual registers including econometric modelling.
  • Contribute to the design of new survey questions and ad hoc modules.
  • Contribute in the preparation and drafting of policy and research papers.
  • Assist in project planning and dissemination of the different outputs prepared on the basis of the OECD trust dataset.
  • Contribute to other outputs of the GIP Division as needed.
