GIZ International Services (InS) is an integral division of GIZ. We offer the experience, the regional and technical know-how of GIZ in the global market and provide international clients with expertise in terms of economic and result-oriented services.

GIZ International Services is shortlisted for the EU-funded tender: „Support to the Ministry of Education in further development of NQF Level 5 qualifications and strengthening the resilience of the education system in Azerbaijan\"

Your tasks

The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is as follows:

to contribute to the modernisation and quality of the education system, including vocational education and training, in a lifelong learning context.

Your profile

Qualifications and skills

University degree in Education, Vocational Education and Training, Public Policy, Human Capital Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or in its absence, a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field mentioned above additional to the required
general professional experience in the education sector; Excellent spoken and written English (at least level 2 on a scale of 1 [excellent] to 5 [basic]); An asset: working knowledge of Azerbaijani, Turkish or Russian.

General professional experience

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in institutional development and capacity[1]building in the education sector; At least 660 working days of working experience in the development and/or implementation of education sector reforms and/or education policies; An asset: Working experience with Education Data Collection and Management system.

Specific professional experience:

Working experience in implementing at least 2 projects in students learning assessment in the past 8 years; Working experience in implementing at least 2 projects in curriculum development and/or curriculum frameworks in the past 8 years; At least 200 working days of working experience in organising and implementing teachers training; An asset: Experience with tools and instruments for monitoring and evaluation of training programmes.

Location information

The operational base of the Programme will be Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, with travel to relevant
regions in Azerbaijan if necessary.
