ITS Vice Presidency Context:

Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) enables the WBG to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity in a sustainable way by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff working in over 150 locations.

In this fast-paced, ever-changing world, the formulation and implementation of the ITS strategy is an ongoing, iterative process of learning and adaptation developed through extensive consultations with business partners throughout the World Bank Group.

ITS shapes its strategy in response to changing business priorities and leverages new technologies to achieve three high-level business outcomes: business enablement, by providing Bank Group units with innovative digital tools and technologies to transform how they deliver value for their clients; empowerment & effectiveness, by ensuring that all Bank Group staff are connected, able to find information, and productive to accelerate the delivery of development solutions globally; and resilience, by equipping the Bank Group to provide risk-based cybersecurity and robust data protection for a global network and a growing cloud platform.

Implementation of the strategy is guided by three core principles. The first is to deliver solutions for business partners that are customer-centric, innovative, and transformative. The Enterprise Authentication Services Team is anchored in the Enterprise Services (ITSEN) division in ITS. The primary programs that the ITSEN unit is responsible for is providing a wide range of technical infrastructure services to meet the institution's computing needs, from mid-range servers, large scale servers, and the respective system, network, and supporting software on those platforms. It provides engineering, integration, and system administration services for Server Administration, Server Security, Backup/Restore, Storage, Virtual infrastructure (on premise and in cloud) and Data Center Management.

The department is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Operational Analyst to join the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. The operational analyst is responsible for supporting and helping in fine tuning the identity life cycle (joiner, leaver, and mover) processes, and on-going IAM service operations. The incumbent will also be required to perform in-depth IAM service trend and incident analysis by working in close collaboration with WBG service desk, SDO (Tier-1/2 support team), IAM team members and other stake holders. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of highly skilled, diverse, and technical professionals and contribute to the department priorities. The position will be based in Chennai, India.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Define IAM service SLA. Prepare and provide monthly/quarterly KPI and relevant service metric reports

•Act as a liaison between the WBG service desk and the IAM team

•Conduct training sessions for the WBG service desk and client services team to keep them abreast of the changes in the IAM area

•Continuously monitor IAM alerts/dashboards to identify potential operational issues proactively   

•Conduct root cause analysis to identify areas of improvement.

•Develop technical documentation and standard operating procedures for IAM team use and end-user support

•Continuously perform IAM incident and catalog request analysis to identify gaps in the service and recommend improvements

•Collaborate and participate in the implementation and support of new IAM services

•Assist with the development, implementation, and support of Role Based Access Control (RBAC)

•Participate in ongoing auditing and risk assessments and implementation of audit recommendations

•Continuously monitor and ensure dormant accounts are disabled based on the standard guideline

•Improve efficiency by recommending process changes and automation for repeatable tasks.

Selection Criteria

•Bachelor’s or Master's degree with 2 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Experience in Azure AD, AD FS or SiteMinder or Open SSO or Ping Federation.

•Experience in Web Access Management and Directory Services.

•Experience with managing directory services and LDAP authentication (e.g. OAuthv2, OpenID Connect, SAML)

•Knowledge of O365 and PowerShell scripting is an advantage.

•Experience in ServiceNow and Splunk.

•Experience in Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps is a plus.

•Knowledge of SailPoint is an added advantage.

•Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems and analyze the root cause.

•Self-starter with outstanding interpersonal skills to track and manage multiple projects.

•Strong client orientation.

•Proven track record of operational support.

•Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with strong aptitude for collaboration.
