What you’ll do:

  • Lead and direct the Analytics, Knowledge and Information Division and supports the CFO, translating business needs and institutional strategies into clear objectives, operational guidelines, and programs.
  • Impart thought leadership, interpreting data, and generating foresight, insight, and realistic options that inform and guide business and decision-making.
  • Lead collaboration and resource planning to deliver the right solutions to meet the organization’s needs; ensuring a flexible, effective, and responsive IDB Invest.
  • Achieve operational effectiveness and efficiency by ensuring collaboration in project design and monitoring of strategic issues among operational units.
  • Define analytics and data governance standards and best-practices to allow the Division and its Analytics team to serve as IDB Invest’s Analytics Center of Excellence.
  • Develop a formal knowledge strategy and governance process for how the IDB Invest invests in knowledge.
  • Promote thought leadership for the adoption of a culture of innovation; fostering the development of creative solutions to support the business of the organization, and nurture the generation of internal knowledge.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and upkeep of management information systems, business process management systems, and similar ones across the organization.
  • Manage highly skilled interdisciplinary and multi-cultural professionals. Ensures proper coordination between the different specialized teams within the Division, as well as with other functions of the Department, the IDB Invest, and the IDB. Leverages synergy opportunities.
  • Lead, manage, mentor, and assess Division’s staff and provides goals and expectations, feedback, and technical mentorship to optimize performance.
  • Demonstrate broad experience of IT processes and frameworks, including identifying risks, implementing, and maintaining a system of internal controls including Information Technology General Controls.

    What you’ll need:

    Education: An advanced degree (at least Master’s, MBA, PhD or equivalent) in Business, Data Science, Information Technology, Knowledge Management or a related discipline.

    Experience: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience and a consistent record leading corporate teams successfully, with 3 years at the senior leadership level. Knowledge and/or experience in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) is a significant plus.

    Languages: Oral and written professional proficiency in English and Spanish required; knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.

      ABOUT THIS POSITION:

      The Finance and Administration Department (FNA) is made up of 4 divisions, including Controllership; Treasury; Analytics, Knowledge and Information and Operations.

      Business Unit:

      This new unit unleash and handle the generation, collection, organization, analysis, dissemination, and leverage our operational, institutional, and business insights and intellectual capital. It will do so in ways that enable us to become more strategic, effective, efficient, and accountable. The Division is composed of two core teams: (i) Business Analytics and (ii) Information Technology. As a Center of Excellence for business analytics, it will also generate creative insights and provide support to other users and generators of data; setting standards and best-practices for handling information and knowledge across the IDB Invest.
