We are looking for a professional who will be working in the Information Technology and Analytics Division (AKI), this division is responsible for maintaining, improving, and developing business embedded applications and data solutions to support both existing and future needs of the institution. Within this same framework, this Division is also responsible for ensuring that IT Services Delivered by service providers meet organizational business needs executed in compliance.

The Team:

IDB Invest is looking for a Financial Analyst with at least 7 years of experience in capital markets, preferably in a Finance or Treasury unit leveraging PeopleSoft, SAP, Geneva, or other financial system. The Financial analyst will work with our Technology team and coordinate, with the Treasury, Finance / Accounting, and Portfolio Analytic team in the optimization of our cash management and Treasury functions. In addition, this person will work with these units to help manage the strategic build-out of our technology platforms and focus on business needs.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with technology leadership to manage the optimization of our Treasury and Financial systems, Local Currency Trading support in systems, cash management processes, which include business function reengineering, technology optimization, and in mitigating operational risk.
  • The business analyst / project manager will coordinate and help structure the strategic roadmaps that are being developed by the teams.
  • Liaise with leadership of the business units, vendors, and management consulting firms.
  • Coordinate, and manage the various phases of identification of a Treasury solution by working with vendors in demos, drill-down sessions, and with the build-out of an RFP process to identify the various functional requirements.
  • Document various business requirement documents, test scripts, work-flow diagrams, and process reengineering.

    • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
    • Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance or accounting.
    • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in capital markets, with experience in business analysis, program management, management consultancy or vendor solutions, preferably in a Treasury or Operations business unit. Strong management skills to understand various asset classes, their life cycle, and events to cash and accounting. LATAM markets a plus. Knowledge of third-party systems related to cash management solutions in capital markets / banking, i.e., Bloomberg AIM, Clearwater, Peoplesoft. Good communication skills as you will be liaising with various team leads and their proxies. Ability to structure project plans, PowerPoint slides, and lead meetings. Management consultancy or shared services experience a plus.Treasury solutions or PeopleSoft knowledge of Cash Management, GL, or Deal Manager Modules a plus.
    • Languages: You are proficient in written and verbal communication in English and in a second official language of the IDB Group (Spanish, Portuguese or French).
