Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the HR Officer at London Save the Children International office location.

ROLE PURPOSE:

This role will support the HR Operations team to ensure a high quality HR service is provided to all employees and internal stakeholders. A core member of the team that will play an important role in supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and processes across SCI.

The post holder will act as first line of support for HR queries ensuring that SCI policies and procedures are shared and understood. Through the effective management of all HR systems the post holder will play a role in supporting the function to drive key strategic decisions across the organisation.

This role will ensure the safe and efficient onboarding of all new staff members making sure staff are fully inducted into the organisation and that their end to end employment is documented correctly on all relevant systems.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential :

Previous experience in a similar HR role within a large complex organisation Excellent IT skills, to include Microsoft Office, Word (including Mail merge), PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook Experience of working with an HR database, with the ability to accurately input data and generate reports. Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and use own initiative. Ability and confidence to communicate appropriately with people at all levels, both internally and externally within a diverse client group. Respect the importance of confidentiality, particularly in relation to employees' personal details. Experience of taking accurate and concise notes. Ability to work accurately, with excellent attention to detail. Understanding of core HR processes good verbal/written communication skills Experience of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ability to work within dual line management reporting structure. Demonstrate commitment to learning and development and progression with HR. Strong research and analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness. The ability to develop productive relationships across a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse, international environment A proven ability to manage a busy workload, to prioritise effectively and juggle tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment Strong attention to detail A proactive and solution orientated approach: highlights challenges and offers appropriate solutions. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage expectations and maintain confidence A full appreciation of the value of cooperation within a team environment A commitment to the mission, vision and values of Save the Children.

Desirable:

Experience within the international development sector Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and CV database searches, including knowledge of Boolean search strings and Google X-ray Experience with Taleo e-recruitment system Experience in internal communications and engagement via digital platforms Basic Microsoft SharePoint skills, including the ability to create and edit document libraries, intranet pages, etc.

We can offer circa £31,000 per annum with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.

This role can be based in London Save the Children International office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
