Who we are?

IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.

IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host community through 20 healthcare facility and other health and nutrition projects

During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of the data collection tools being used at health facilities and CHWs levels such as (HIMS v2, KOBO, HIMS), which comprises all household level data compiled by the CHVs as well as facility-level data on a daily basis.
  • Lead and Management of HIMS v2 implementation at all facilities with close cooperation with AIU, which comprises all facilities beneficiaries’ data compiled by data entry operators on a daily basis.
  • Create and develop pivot tables as needed for the donor and internal reports.
  • With the support from AIU, trouble shoot day-to-day issues faced by the community health program, including tablet and software assistance and data analysis.
  • Ensure quality tools and a proper performance of the HIMS v2 infrastructure.
  • Provide support on preparing monthly internal and external technical reports, and works closely with Health
  • Managers and Coordinators to submit correct, timely reports.
  • Provide data visualization: Power BI, Tableau and DHIS dashboards, tables, charts, GIS maps, Pivot Tables.
  • Manage the flow of health information and disseminate to the team as needed.
  • Provide info management services to support Health information monitoring activities,
  • In collaboration with health managers and coordinators, design and implement a dissemination plan for all information products (e.g. situation reports, data, maps).
  • In collaboration health managers and coordinators and AIU apply information management standards, policies and procedures to guide related activities.
  • Provide Technical support for data entry, CHWs and all HIMS v2 staff in order to build their capacity.
  • Create map layouts, map templates, map icons, generate maps of health activities, generate reports and ensure that the maps and reports are stored in the database correctly.
  • With the support of AIU, develop new applications, tools, techniques or methods to improve workflow and train others in their use.
  • Lead the reporting process within the program department and follow up the reporting deadlines matrix and coordinate closely with the program coordinator.

Qualifications:

  • University degree (Bachelor/ Preferred Master) in information management/Technology and systems, computer science, data science or a related field
  • More than 2 years experience in this field
  • Proven experience with tools like Power BI, HIMS, KOBO, and Excel.
  • Experience with descriptive data analysis and/or data management.
  • Able to think critically about data and information, triangulating and cross-checking data when needed and with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent visual design sense regarding clear and accurate presentation of data.
  • Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office (in particular, Excel)
  • Very good analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Eligible to work legally in Turkey
