Your duties and responsibilities:

  • You improve the strategy to expand support for our organization to other governments, multilateral organizations, foundations and private actors (institutional actors)
  • You identify and build relationships with relevant donors and their requirements
  • You evaluate funding opportunities and submit proposals, sometimes in consortium
  • You give advice on the realization of projects, ensure the conformity of project implementation and narrative reporting
  • For these tasks, you coordinate and work closely with colleagues and partners in the countries, and strengthen their competencies in fundraising and reporting

Your qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent through experience, preferably in a theme that is consistent with Join For Water's mission
  • You have relevant experience in international fundraising and marketing for development cooperation or climate-related initiatives
  • You have experience with, and are inventive in the design and development of financing files; preferably in an international NGO
  • You are a born networker who knows how to smoothly build sustainable external relationships for Join For Water. Enterprising and tactical, you approach and convince key people at organizations and companies to enter into collaborations.
  • You have excellent writing and contact skills, in French, Dutch and English. Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
  • You have experience in strengthening competencies of employees and organizations

Join For Water offers:

  • Part-time contract (80%) starting January 1, 2022. Duration of contract and FTE negotiable after positive evaluation after 7 months.
  • Salary according to internal scale, taking into account relevant seniority. Gross monthly salary for a 0.8 FTE with 5 / 15 years relevant experience: 2,712.14 euros / 3,390.18 euros.
