Job Summary:
The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a Global HR Coordinator to coordinate relocations and provide mobility services to over 30 internationally recruited staff including expatriates and assist with HR field office operations. This position will report to the Senior Compensation and Benefit Specialist and the Acting Director, Human Resources based in Washington, DC. The incumbent will be part of the Global HR team and work closely with the Finance Hub in Senegal and Washington DC. This position is based in Dakar, Senegal. Interested candidates must have work authorization to work in Senegal.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinate all phases of relocation processes, including preparing case initiations, tracking and monitoring relocation and benefits, and liaising with vendors and external providers on the matters of tax, immigration and relocation to ensure timely and quality services are provided.
- Provide relocation services, including orientation, support and communication on international assignments benefits and global mobility.
- Partner with teams and collaborators, internal and external, to ensure ongoing support and adherence to policies and procedures (local and global), maintaining and improving service levels.
- Administer relocation and expatriate allowances, including cost of living, housing and lease review, dependent education, head of office allowances, and transportation allowances.
- Administer and audit relocation and outposted benefits expense reports, including tax reimbursement and vendor invoices, and reconcile and audit outposted allowances on a quarterly basis.
- Participate in and maintain development, maintenance and enhancement of procedures and processes related to global mobility, including handling of projects to enhance the employee experience.
- Provide information and reports on country-specific information as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Field Office Operations
- Assist with creating and updating field office related documents (HR field operations manual, employee handbooks, orientation and exit documents, etc.)
- Assist with streamlining processes within IFPRI stand-alone offices and assure compliance with IFPRI standards and requirements.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy of field office staff records.
- Take and share minutes from International HR liaison calls.
- Provide support for field office recruitment
- Opening recruitment folder
- Conducting OFAC background check
- Closing out positions in Taleo
