Title: Finance Logistics Assistant

Sightsavers are excited to be recruiting a Finance Assistant who will support the finance administration and management for Kogi Ministry of Health (MoH). The Finance Assistant will work with implementing partners and the Compliance and Risk Manager to ensure financial principles of the contract are complied with, support with financial functions of the Kogi MoH programmes, and will plan and support the delivery of supplies and the application of an efficient commodity and logistics system for the programmes in accordance with donor requirements.

As the Finance Assistant you will ensure financial control and conformity to the polices and procedures on Financial Management & Controls, Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Monitoring and Audits, and ensure compliance to local regulations and governance requirements.

Other duties of the Finance Assistant will include implementing and maintaining vehicle/fleet logistics and movement protocols, tracking, monitoring and inventory analysis of the programmes and supplies employing the use of monitoring tools, supporting and strengthening financial management, accountability and capacities of partners in accordance with the principles of the contract and developing and providing grant management support.

As the successful candidate you will have a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (Accounting or similar), have a good level of working experience in a similar role (ideally within an IGNO environment), possess Project Financial management skills, have the ability to understand and work with project budgets, forecast and reports, and have a background of financial management of Donor Funds. Fluency in English is required for this role.
