Position Summary:
Creative Associates seeks a Finance Director for a USAID-funded project proposal that seeks to address electoral reform in Zimbabwe. The Finance Director will manage the project's financial systems. S/he will work under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party and will work on all matters related to financial management, financial reporting, subcontracting. S/he will also ensure sufficient funds are available for effective and efficient implementation of project activities and support programs.
Reporting & Supervision:
This position will report directly to the Deputy Chief of Party.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Program & Grant Teams to establish proper controls for grants management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
M.S. degree in accounting or financial management desired; B.S. degree with at least eight (8) years of experience required;
Previous financial management of a donor-funded project in Zimbabwe;
Public or private sector management, financial analysis, cost accounting and relevant experience preferably in developing countries;
Demonstrated capacity to supervise a complex financial management or general ledger system;
Familiar with all MS Office applications;
Must be proficient in English reading, writing and speaking;
Excellent communication and reporting skills; and
The candidate must currently reside in Zimbabwe.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
U.S. government (USAID preferred) administrative compliance experience;
Exposure working with international operations; and
Strong organizational and managerial skills.
