Supervisor:
The incumbent of the post is responsible to the Head Field Information Management Technology Office (H, FIMTO), A18 and receives technical guidance from Chief Technology Development and Operations, P5 at IMTD-HQA.

The incumbent supervises a small team of professional and general services posts. Responsibilities

The incumbent:
1- Manages and implements the Field Infrastructure Services operations in terms of planning, developing, deploying, monitoring, maintaining, operating, and documenting adequate and reliable IMT Field Infrastructure services, in line with established Agency Infrastructure strategy, plans, policies, procedures, and standards, for the provision of:
- Field data center hosting operations, including Field non-enterprise applications hosting services, network management services, database management, access management, IMT security services, and information production services;
- Network and Field telecommunications operations covering data, voice, and video services by utilizing LAN, WAN, PABX, Unified communication, Internet, VSAT and Satellite services;
- Work to develop and implement new Infrastructure terminology for Local Area network and Wide Area network VLAN, Access List, SD-WAN, DMVPN, GRE Tunnel and MPLS technology.
- Work to configure non-security features of UTMs.
-Design and implement wireless technology for Cloud-based and on-prem based Wi-Fi controller and access control.
2- Coordinates and organizes deployment and management of Field IMT Infrastructure services, in close coordination with HQA IMTD infrastructure teams, in terms of established standards, policies, instructions, and guidelines covering:
-Acquisition, use, maintenance, upgrade, and disposal of Infrastructure services, systems, equipment, and connectivity.
-IMT backup management.
3- Manages assigned infrastructure unit staff and operations; provides technical guidance, instructions, training, support, and documentation for IMT infrastructure unit staff and ensures that Field infrastructure services needs are fulfilled; plans for and reports on projected capacity requirements.
4- Manages Field infrastructure hardware and software delivery, installation, and maintenance activities with concerned departments; administers relevant infrastructure service contracts preparation and management; prepares survey reports for obsolete or surplus infrastructure IMT equipment and supplies.
5- Develops, enforces, monitors, and documents established IMT security procedures and standards in relation to voice and data transmission security, information access control, equipment physical security, and facilities access security; participates in security incidents management, security assessments, and vulnerability testing.
6- Coordinates preparation of Requests for Purchase for infrastructure hardware and software; co-ordinates with Procurement and Logistics Office on related procurement activities.
7- Participates in Enterprise Infrastructure design and manages Infrastructure Field implementation activities for new enterprise IMT systems and services rollout in the Field.
8- Participates in the planning, development, and implementation of Field IMT Change Management and Disaster Recovery. Also, actively support activities for the Field IMT Office budget preparation and provides necessary inputs to Field Infrastructure budget requirements; prepares management reports on infrastructure services metrics and equipment inventories.
9-Providing 1st and 2nd levels of support for Field Infrastructure Services to support teams and field operation.
10-Issues periodic Field IMT infrastructure performance and utilization reports.
11-Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. Competencies

Required academic qualifications:
- A university degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science, information technology, electrical or computer engineering or other related discipline.

Professional qualifications:
- ITIL service management certification preferably at practitioner level.
- Cisco Certificate Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification.

Work Experience

- Six years’ of progressively responsible and relevant work experience in delivering IMT infrastructure services in a large IMT environment, including two years in a supervisory position managing and implementing IMT infrastructure services is required.

- Practical experience and solid knowledge of a variety of IMT technologies in various infrastructure domains including network management routing and switching (VLAN, DMVPN, GRE Tunnel, Spanning Tree Protocol, Port Security, Unified communication voice over IP, sip protocol and sip trunk and, specifically with MS server technology, CISCO networking products, wireless technology Wi-Fi controller cloud-based and on-prem based and access point, and the application and integration of Next Generation (e.g. Fortinet, Palo Alto, Zscaler), QoS, encryption, and compression over WAN links is required.
