Where you come in:

In this part-time, maximum term role (30.4 hours per week, until end of June 2023, with potential for extension), you’ll collaborate with a Child Development Specialist to deliver programs and services that promote positive approaches to parenting and family wellbeing. Based in the Hobart office, you’ll work with our Cool 4 School and Family Support Team and report to our Children and Family Team Leader.

You will make an impact by:

Providing individual support and strengths-based case management to families, strengthening their links to the community and developing confidence in their support network Building strong, lasting connections with people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds Proactively developing strong relationships with other service providers Actively encouraging vulnerable, detached or fearful families to engage with our programs

Your exceptional cultural knowledge will help you build strong connections with people from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. You have empathy, a ‘can-do attitude’ and most importantly, an infectious enthusiasm for your job.

This role requires:

Formal tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Health or allied areas preferred, or significant equivalent experience Well-developed time management, organisational and data collection skills Understanding of the importance of child development Exceptional communications skills and the ability to build lasting connections Driver’s licence (a car will be provided for work use)
