WBG People and Culture Vice Presidency (PaC) is focused on delivering high value HR services to drive organizational performance and help make the WBG the employer of choice in international development.  In this regard, the PaC Careers, Performance and Learning Department (PaCCL) delivers innovative solutions and strategies, and global programs and services across the talent management lifecycle for the World Bank. This position seeks to provide communications and change management in support of cross-cutting talent initiatives for the Department.  The position will report to PaCCL Front Office and provide cross-cutting support to the PaCCL Department.

Duties & Accountabilities 

The Consultant will assume responsibilities to support the delivery of key communications and change management initiatives within the PaCCL department. 

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Support all communications and change management efforts for the Department’s initiatives across the talent management lifecycle
• Preparation of infographics, information sheets, slide decks, and other relevant materials for engagements with staff and managers
• Carry out qualitative and quantitative research on various topics. This includes analysis, presentation and tailoring of insights based on the specific request and the context and needs of the organization.
• Track, monitor, help implement and evaluate the team's project plans in support of achieving the objectives of career development, mobilization, and deployment of staff. 
• Coordinate and participate in different aspects of talent management and staff development work programs, initiatives, and deliverables (communications, design, systems, and tools). Liaise with key stakeholders, draft proposals, and relevant design materials, conduct research, and support in implementing the PaCCL solutions, engagement and communications plan.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties, as assigned.

Selection Criteria

• Master's degree in business administration, human resources, communications, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communications and presentation skills, ability to translate complex data for a variety of audiences, and experience with preparing client-ready materials.
• Excellent demonstrated organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis; able to articulate issues and recommend solutions to aid management in decision-making 
• Ability to build strong working relationships with counterparts across PaC and the World Bank Group.
• Ability to diplomatically handle sensitive situations with target audiences and to cultivate effective, productive client relationships and partnerships.
• Attention to detail, strong project management, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates professional integrity, willingness, and flexibility to 'roll-up your sleeves' to engage in all aspects of HR work from identification and design to implementation 
• Ability to work effectively under stress; ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
• Self-starter, multi-tasker and demonstrated team player, including the ability to work effectively in a virtual and multi-cultural team-based environment.
