Position: Free to Run Program Officer (Locally Recruited)

Activities to be carried out by\nOfficer: \n\n
The Officer\nimplements and coordinates Free to Run activities in Erbil, in close\ncoordination with, and reporting to, Free to Run's Iraq Senior Program Officer.
\n\n
Principal\nDuties & Responsibilities Will Include (but not be limited to):\n\n
- Implementing the day-to-day activities of Free to\nRun's program areas in Erbil, including through:
- Organizing and\nleading running and physical activities\nin Erbil (liaising with participant's families; liaising with, and supporting,\nvolunteers; direct training of team during running sessions; coordinating team\ndrivers; tracking participants' attendance and performance; coordinating\nvolunteer schedules; translation (Arabic - English); liaising with camp\nmanagement and implementing partners where appropriate)
- Supporting hiking activities in northern Iraq\n(liaising with participant's families, coordinating participants and team\ndrivers; reimbursing transportation costs where appropriate; tracking\nparticipants; and organizing photos and feedback stories)
- Developing and\nmaintaining relationships with local authorities, volunteer groups, relevant\ncommunity-based organizations, and partner NGOs
- Engaging in\nregular dialogue, as appropriate, with members of the community, including\nfamily members of participants
- Working with\nthe Senior Program Officer and local partner organization on establishing\nvolunteer projects for program participants and overseeing their implementation\non a regular basis
- Leading Life Skills through Sports curriculum\nsessions for program participants under the guidance of the Senior Program\nOfficer
- Managing program funds for Erbil team activities\n(maintain records; receive and disburse funds; obtain receipts; manage petty\ncash)
- Coordinating transportation\nand communication with program drivers
- Supporting\nFree to Run's social media strategy\n(providing photos and human-interest stories in line with Free to Run's\ncommunications policy)
- Assisting Free to Run's Senior Program Officer with\ntraining new staff members and other responsibilities as needed
- Preparing and submitting timely and quality\nfinancial and narrative reports
- Supporting monitoring and evaluation of\nprograms, including leading survey implementation, focus group discussions,\nparent interviews, etc.
- Planning and attending events during Free to Run\nprogrammatic cycle, including Sports Weeks activities,\nand working closely with the Senior Program Officer to compile and purchase\nmaterials, events logistics, and participant outreach.
- Providing logistical\nsupport for visits of Free to Run board members and partners to Iraq
- Interacting with partners in Iraq as\ninstructed by Free to Run's Senior Program Officer and Executive Director
- Tracking attendance\nfor participants
- Translation help, as required, from Kurdish/Arabic- English\nand English-Kurdish/Arabic
