Tetra Tech International Development (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for various potential Senior Environment/Natural Resources Technical Specialist positions on an upcoming USAID-funded program in Cambodia, titled Eastern Plains Natural Resource Management Activity.

These potential full-time positions will likely be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for the full life of project (anticipated five years). For all positions, working knowledge of English, enthusiasm for frequent travel to field sites, knowledge in MS Office applications, and commitment to gender equity are required. Candidates with primary qualifications and experience in more than one of the below areas should indicate their interest in multiple positions in their cover letter. Cambodian nationals strongly encouraged to apply.

Governance Specialist: The successful candidate will have a minimum of five-years proven experience developing relationships with local stakeholders, and engaging community-based forest governance organizations on a wide range of topics aimed to improve ability to manage forest resources and build organizational capacity. S/he also provides guidance on strategies to address conflicts associated with forest governance and provides leadership in operationalizing these strategies in addition to developing capacity of governance institutions. At the national level, s/he participates in stakeholder fora and contributes to relevant policy processes. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is required

Livelihoods Manager: The successful candidate will have a minimum of five-years proven experience in the development and implementation of strategies to increase environmentally sustainable market-based economic opportunities, for indigenous and non-indigenous populations. S/he will provide technical and managerial oversight to all project sustainable and market-based livelihoods and coordinate regularly with other technical specialists. Experience in Cambodia’s Eastern Plains Landscape is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.

Conservation Specialist: The successful candidate will have a minimum of five-years proven experience in environmental monitoring and conservation of biodiversity and ecological processes in Cambodia, with experience in the Eastern Plains landscape preferred. S/he will provide technical and managerial oversight to project activities related to biodiversity conservation and protection of forested ecosystems within the targeted terrestrial landscapes. A Master’s degree in a relevant field (biology, ecology, forestry, wildlife conservation, etc.) is required.

Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Specialist: The successful candidate will have a minimum of five-years proven experience working with private sector partners and investors, preferably in the natural resources sector. S/he will lead the design and implementation of project-supported interventions that promote private sector investment in high-impact forest-based value chain enterprises and other natural resources-based livelihoods. S/he will develop global, regional, and national institutional relationships with private sector and financial institutions and identify innovating financing mechanisms that incentivize private sector investors and leverage private sector capabilities to promote market-driven solutions. Demonstrated experience facilitating public-private partnerships preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance, etc.) is required.
